BRCA brushless motor homologation UK: how to check EB lists
For BRCA-sanctioned electric classes in the UK, you may only use brushless motors that appear on the current Electric Board homologation lists for the relevant class at the time of the event. Parking-lot drift nights without a BRCA class rule are a different world — this page is for racers who need the list.
BRCA publishes Electric Board brushless Spec and Modified motor homologation list materials covering turn classes such as 10.5T and Modified on the official BRCA Motor Homologation List page. Lists and class documents update; always open the current files rather than relying on a screenshot from last season.
Where to check
- Start at the BRCA Motor Homologation List hub and open the Spec/Modified PDFs that match your section.
- Read the Electric Board category materials that explain motors must meet EB rules and appear on the relevant list for sanctioned use, including UK distributor stock-check process notes on the BRCA Electric Board category page.
- Confirm event-year language in the class rules PDF you are entering. For example, the 2026 BRCA 10th Electric Off Road Rules PDF states sanctioned motors must be on the BRCA EB homologation lists for allowed classes at the time of the event. Other sections can differ — verify your own PDF.
Buyer path before you order
- Identify the exact class (for example Spec 10.5T or Modified).
- Open the current homologation list for that class and year.
- Search the motor by the naming format the list uses (brand/model/turns as printed).
- Note any UK availability or distributor process comments in EB materials.
- Only then place an order — and re-check the list near the event date.
Who this is not for
